Enterprise Core Technology | DTRO Disc Tube Product Technology
Disc tube reverse osmosis (DTRO) is a specially constructed reverse osmosis technology. The key component of DTRO is the disc tube membrane column, which is formed by tightly assembling a set of hydraulic discs and reverse osmosis membranes into a cylindrical shape through stainless steel pipes with screw threads at both ends (see figure on the right). This special hydraulic design allows the processed liquid to quickly flow through the membrane in the shortest distance, and then reverse 180 º to another membrane surface, effectively avoiding membrane blockage and concentration polarization phenomena, and successfully extending the service life of the membrane. It is also easy to clean the scale on the membrane during cleaning, ensuring that the disc tube membrane assembly is suitable for treating high turbidity and high sand content wastewater. When the membrane needs to be replaced, use a torque wrench to open the membrane column and replace the aging membrane without discarding the entire membrane column.
The excellent performance of the disc tube membrane assembly relies on high-quality reverse osmosis membranes and hydraulic guide plates. This membrane consists of two concentric circular reverse osmosis membranes, with a layer of filamentous support sandwiched between them, allowing the purified water passing through the membrane to quickly flow towards the outlet. The outer ring of these three-layer ring-shaped materials is welded using ultrasonic technology, while the inner ring is open and serves as a clean water outlet. There are protrusions arranged in a certain way on the surface of the guide plate, which create turbulence in the treatment liquid, increase the permeation rate and self-cleaning function. The guide plate clamps the membrane in the middle, but does not generate pressure on the membrane, allowing the treatment liquid to quickly flow tangentially through the surface of the membrane. The permeate flows along the filamentous support in the middle of the membrane to the periphery of the central pull rod, and is isolated from the treatment liquid by the O-ring rubber gasket on the guide plate to flow towards different outlets.
