Recently, the first phase of the Jiangnan Bioenergy Reuse Center project in Nanjing has been completed and is expected to undergo trial operation in the first quarter of 2025.

It is reported that the Phase I project of Nanjing Jiangnan Bioenergy Reuse Center is currently the largest single phase kitchen waste treatment project in Jiangsu Province, with a construction scale of 600 tons/day and equipped with four 150 ton/day kitchen waste pretreatment lines. It adopts the process of "mechanical pretreatment+three-phase separation oil extraction+wet fully mixed anaerobic+biogas purification power generation+waste heat utilization". The organic solid residue and pretreatment wastewater generated from the treatment enter the anaerobic fermentation system to produce biogas, which is used for boiler heating and power generation; The extracted oil can be made into chemical raw materials; The miscellaneous items and solid waste in kitchen waste are transported to the garbage incineration plant for harmless disposal; Wastewater treatment meets the standard and is discharged to the sewage treatment plant. After the project is fully operational, it is expected to produce 7665 tons of chemical raw materials (mixed oils and fats) annually, produce biogas, and generate 38.51 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
